I have a busy, busy, busy fall ahead of me! I will be traveling to different states (and timezones) on a pretty regular basis and honestly I am so excited. In my old job at this company, I traveled all the time and loved it. When I got my last job in Seattle and moved out here, my job no longer involved any form of travel. I didn’t realize how much I was going to miss the hustle and bustle of a busy travel life. Now that I am back with my old company and in a new job, I am going to be traveling more again (yay!). Beyond that, I now have a certified travel buddy and we both like exploring new places! So here is what my travel schedule is looking like for the rest of the year! If you have any suggestions on place to eat, things to see or things to do, leave a comment down below!
Ann Arbor, Michigan: This is a work trip, so I don’t know how much of the city I will actually get to see. However, I should still find a couple great breakfast and dinner spots. I also try to run every morning when I am on work trips, so I should be able to see a bit more of the city (and the University of Michigan) that way.
Providence, Rhode Island: I am really excited for this one! I have come to really enjoy the northeast over the past couple of years. If I were to ever move away from the West Coast again, it would be to the northeast. So I am excited to explore this great little city and see more of the area. I didn’t have many flight options, so I will actually have a few free hours on my first day in town to actually explore!
Omaha, Nebraska: This is the first of the personal trips for the coming months. We have a friend here is Seattle that is originally from Omaha and is getting married there in a couple months! Obviously the wedding will be a big part of the weekend, but we also have a lot of time to spend exploring the area!
Memphis, Tennessee: That’s right, I am going back to Memphis! Because the organization I work for is located in Memphis, TN, I will get to go back from time to time to get things done that can only be done in the office. I am going in twice this fall and will have a little bit of time to visit some of my favorite restaurants while in town!
Palm Springs, California: My boo’s parents live down in Palm Springs during the winter, so we are going down and visiting them for Thanksgiving! I lived in California for 20+ years and never made it down to Palm Springs, so I am pretty excited to go visit for the first time!
Sacramento/Santa Rosa, California: And last but certainly not least, it wouldn’t be a fall without a trip home! We will be spending Christmas in Sacramento and Santa Rosa visiting my family. I’m excited to see my family and friends, especially during the holidays!
DAY TRIPS & WEEKENDERS!
Bainbridge Island, Washington: Just a ferry ride away from Seattle, Bainbridge is a place I haven’t visited yet! One of my very best friends is coming to visit. Problem is, she has already done all of the touristy things Seattle has to offer. So, I am planning on taking her on a little day trip to Bainbridge Island! It is scenic and has a cute little downtown that I am excited to explore.
Leavenworth, Washington: Another Washington attraction just a little ways from Seattle, this little gem is amazing around the holidays. Everyone raves about it and I haven’t been yet, so I am excited to see it during the holidays this year!
Portland, Oregon: Another quick weekend trip from Seattle, Portland is becoming a regular weekend trip for me and my boo. His best friend lives down there and I love the food and shops so it works out great. While we don’t have this one solidified, I am sure we will make the trip down there at some point this fall!
I am so excited about my fall travel schedule, even though it will definitely be a bit hectic. I am excited to share all of my fun adventures with you all, so check back on the blog for those posts! Until next time, friends… CMB
