We have officially been self isolating for close to two months. They have been both the longest and shortest two months of my life. We have done a whole lot of stuff around the house and not much else. I wanted share some of the things that have been keeping me sane throughout this quarantine. Its a weird mix of items, but it is what makes me happy right now.
Puzzle Pack. At the beginning of the quarantine, we started redoing all of the puzzles we had on hand. After a couple of weeks we hand done all of them. This was the point when I entered into a puzzle search, which has been more difficult than I could have ever expected. Eventually I found a few options including this 8 puzzle pack for like $25. I was a little weary of the quality because of the price, but I was so pleasantly surprised. The puzzles are good quality, we haven’t had a missing piece yet and they are hard but not two hard. Such a great find!
Comfy Sweat Suit. Last fall on a whim I bought a giraffe print sweatsuit from Old Navy. It is never something I would normally pick out, but it looked so comfortable I went for it. Since the quarantine has started I have been wearing this sweet little sweatsuit pretty much 24/7. If you don’t have a sweatsuit, I highly recommend you get one.
A Clean House. I suppose this isn’t an exact item, but more a concept. Either way, I have become hyper aware of the cleanliness and tidiness of my house since the quarantine started. I have always liked to keep my house clean, but we are on a whole other level now. I was getting a bit out of control so I have started containing my cleaning to two concepts. First, I do a “30 Minute Tidy” each day. Basically, I set a timer for 30 minutes and go around the house and tidy/clean as much as I can. Second, I set specific cleaning tasks for each day at the beginning of the week. I stick to my schedule and try not to do extra each day (or I go a bit crazy, lol).
Needlepointing. At the beginning of the quarantine, I decided I wanted to take up a new hobby. After considering a few options, I decided on needlepoint because of the level of attention to detail it needed. I ended up completing my first project last week and absolutely loved it! It is such a fun project and I am excited to start my next project!
Rosé. Just keeping it real with this one. While I definitely don’t need the rose, it is definitely a nice little treat at the end of the day. #roseallday
Until next time, friends… CML
