Figuring out gifts for our wedding party was harder than I could ever imagine. I went back and forth for months and months. Do I do a combination of smaller items that are useful? Do I do one nicer gift? Do I pay for a specific expense of being a bridesmaid? Riley was thinking along the same lines. We really didn’t want something that would be useless or set aside after the wedding.
Ultimately, we ended up doing kind of a combination of the above ideas. For the groomsmen we paid for their tux rentals and got them nice (but inexpensive) whiskey glasses. For the gals we got them a nicer necklace to wear the day of the wedding, along with a more inexpensive travel tote and pouch. At the end of the day, I think it was a nice balance and wasn’t something useless. I did want to go through some ideas for gifts for both the gals and the guys.
