Happy Election Day friends! I just wanted to hop on here and remind everyone to vote! I will admit that I used to be one of those people that would say, “I don’t care about politics.” The reality is that is total BS. Politics effect everyone. Politics effect our daily lives. If you have any other excuses, just listen to President Obama on why those aren’t exactly excuses.
I love writing and blogging, but I will admit that I am not the best at doing it consistently. I want to, I want to post a couple times a week, but it just doesn’t happen. Things get busy and this gets put on the back burner. I prioritize dinner with friends, travel, sleep, watching Netflix over this. As I think about it more and more, I realize that this is something that means a lot to me and should probably be prioritize over others.

The days were long and required a lot of moving furniture, hanging pictures and target runs. Any guesses on what I am doing for my job these days?
Happy Friday everyone! Are you excited for the weekend? I know I am. I have a lot of great posts planned for the next couple of weeks, but I kept thinking of these little random things that I wanted to share. They didn’t really have a place in any of my other posts and couldn’t really stand alone as their own posts. Then I realized, I have these little random thoughts pretty frequently. My brain is filled with little thoughts that could be parts of different blog posts.
So here is my first update after my first official week on the fitness train. All in all it went okay; not great but also not terrible. The week was not the best I could have done, but I am thinking of it as a good start. Overall, the week had ebbs and flows. There were a couple of days where I just felt like a blob (for lack of a better term) and didn’t want to do anything (including cooking). What I decided, is sometimes we have blob days and that is okay. But instead of letting one blob day ruin the whole week, let it mess with that day then bounce back. But lets talk about how things went.
I’ve written about my relationship with fitness and my trends with working out in past posts (you can find those here and here). Well I am back with an update on how things have been going lately. Probably unsurprisingly, I have been off my fitness game since I moved to Seattle. With everything that has been going on in my life (confused? read my last post!), fitness was the last thing on my mind.
Well today marks the two year mark of having the blog and one year of changing the name… And what an adventure it has been. I figured now would be the perfect time to give an updated on what has been going on in my life for the past few months.
Reading is one of my favorite pastimes, but I don’t always read as much as I would like. Luckily I have been able to make more time for it recently than I have in the past. I should also say, that I have been on a kick lately of reading books that are being turned into or have been turned into movies or TV shows.
I honestly can’t believe I started this blog a year ago. It seems like yesterday I was sitting in my old apartment and deciding if I even want to start a blog and here I am a year later happy as ever that I did.
