Reading is one of my favorite pastimes, but I don’t always read as much as I would like. Luckily I have been able to make more time for it recently than I have in the past. I should also say, that I have been on a kick lately of reading books that are being turned into or have been turned into movies or TV shows.
One of the best things about the blogging community is that it is truly a community that supports each other. The Liebster Award is place for new blogs to tag and promote each other. I am normally not into the “tag and share” posts that you see on Facebook or whatever, but this an awesome concept that can help everyone 🙂 So thank you Holly for nominating me!
I honestly can’t believe I started this blog a year ago. It seems like yesterday I was sitting in my old apartment and deciding if I even want to start a blog and here I am a year later happy as ever that I did.
It has been exactly one year since I started my blog. Granted, it took me about six months to start posting more regularly and even longer to feel like I am in a good rhythm. Even now I struggle with balancing my job, the blog, family, friends, and everything else in my life. I started the blog as a creative outlet and I want to make sure it stays that way and does not become a burden. So far, posting irregularly has been what has allowed me to not feel like the blog as a burden. Looking back on the past year, here are a few thoughts and things I have learned…
So, I’ve been away a while (48 days to be exact) and I am going to try to stop with the hiatuses. I have talked about my crazy work travel schedule in previous blogs. Well, that combined with a bunch of personal travel and a hectic personal life have resulted in no time to work on my sweet little blog. In all reality, there will be another hiatus at some point, but I swear I am trying to avoid that. Even when I am not able to post here, I try to keep my Instagram and Twitter updated, so check those out.
Me and fitness have an on-again, off-again relationship. Sometimes we are on great terms and see each other all the time, and others I am scared to go within ten feet of a scale. Lately, I have not wanted to go within ten feet of my scale.
Baseball. America’s pastime. Without a doubt my favorite sport. I should clarify it is my favorite sport to watch, not to play. In all honesty no sport is my favorite to play. My hand-eye coordination is below that of a five-year-old’s, so I am normally more of the sideline cheerleader or team mom than the player. Anyways, I love watching baseball. And with the season just starting, I have been thinking about by favorite team a lot.
I feel like I have some explaining to do… like what they heck this blog is actually going to be about. That is a great questions and the truth is I am not positively sure. To put it simply, I plan to write about the things I enjoy. So, here are a few of my favorites.
So, why did I want to start a blog? If I am being honest, this is something I have wanted to do for a long time but have always found an excuse not to. I am too busy. I am traveling a lot. My life isn’t interesting enough. But these are just what I said, excuses.
