Fourth of July is right around the corner. A holiday filled with family friends, yummy food, delicious drinks and fun fireworks. While it will probably look a little different this year, I imagine that barbecues will still happen along with family get togethers and fireworks viewings. It is not crazy to think that after months of quarantine, people will want to get together with the people the care about. While getting together with others can be risky, thinking through ways to make the get together as safe as possible is a step in the right direction. Here are a few suggestions for how to make your barbecue just a little bit safer!
Figuring out gifts for our wedding party was harder than I could ever imagine. I went back and forth for months and months. Do I do a combination of smaller items that are useful? Do I do one nicer gift? Do I pay for a specific expense of being a bridesmaid? Riley was thinking along the same lines. We really didn’t want something that would be useless or set aside after the wedding.
Last week I announced the launch of Parties by Catie-Marie! It is something I have been working on this for a while and was so excited to share this with everyone. It is something I have become so passionate about and hope others can benefit from that passion. I wanted to breakdown the products that were launched with the launch of the business. Each month I will be back to launch more products and walk you through them!
It has been a few months since our perfect day. I still think about it often and am so grateful for each part of it. It made all of the months of planning and stress and excitement fully worth it. As soon as Riley and I talked through what our priorities with the wedding would be, we jumped right in.
I am a planner to the fullest. In general, my process is to come up with a concept then think through all of the specifics until the concept becomes more realistic. Planning my wedding was no different. Riley and I talk through not only our priorities with the wedding were, but also how we wanted to feel, what we wanted to be incorporated and so much more. This was how our concept was created. I will admit, I wish Parties by Catie-Marie was around back when I was planning our wedding. While making the invitation inserts inspired the idea for the company, I realistically could have done so much more and hope to with my store.
As many of you may know, I got married this past August (you can read more about that magical day here, here, and here). It was such a huge learning process that ended with the most wonderful day. One of the many things I learned during the planning process was that wedding invitations are expensive and are in no way friendly to our environment. I could not believe the cost of a full invitation. Once you had all of the components, you were pushing $6-8 an invitation. Crazy!
