The Perfect Fall Day

The Perfect Fall Day

Everyone talks about Seattle summers. About the perfect weather and sunny blue skies. The perfect days on the lake; boating, swimming and paddle boarding. Basking in the sun while laying in the grass of a luscious park. Don’t get me wrong, that is all great. I love going on long walks along Lake Washington and watching the sunset from Alki Beach.

First Friday Favorites!

First Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday everyone! Are you excited for the weekend? I know I am. I have a lot of great posts planned for the next couple of weeks, but I kept thinking of these little random things that I wanted to share. They didn’t really have a place in any of my other posts and couldn’t really stand alone as their own posts. Then I realized, I have these little random thoughts pretty frequently. My brain is filled with little thoughts that could be parts of different blog posts.

My Love for Travel

My Love for Travel

I recently started thinking about why it is that I have come to love travel so much. When I was writing my fall travel plans post last week (check it out here), I got so excited. I started doing research on all of the new cities I would be visiting; where to eat, what to do, how to get around, etc. All of this research and excitement for this fall got me thinking about why it is that I like to travel so much.

Fall Travel Plans

Fall Travel Plans

I have a busy, busy, busy fall ahead of me! I will be traveling to different states (and timezones) on a pretty regular basis and honestly I am so excited. In my old job at this company, I traveled all the time and loved it. When I got my last job in Seattle and moved out here, my job no longer involved any form of travel. I didn’t realize how much I was going to miss the hustle and bustle of a busy travel life. Now that I am back with my old company and in a new job, I am going to be traveling more again (yay!). Beyond that, I now have a certified travel buddy and we both like exploring new places! So here is what my travel schedule is looking like for the rest of the year! If you have any suggestions on place to eat, things to see or things to do, leave a comment down below!

New York Trip, Part 4: New York, New York

New York Trip, Part 4: New York, New York

So… I never got to finish this series because my move got in the way. But hey, better late than never, right? I am so excited to share the grand finale, the big shebang, the final countdown to this series that I started I couple months ago.  If you want to re-read those, her is Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 at your easy linked convenience.

If you couldn’t tell, I absolutely LOVED my time in New York a while back. Now that some time has passed, I am itching to go back to this beautiful city. I have never been the type of person that dreams about moving to New York, but after this trip I could definitely see the attraction and would be lying if the thought of a move to the Big Apple didn’t cross my mind. So let’s dive into the things that made me have a slight change in opinion and a couple of my favorite things I did while I was there…

New York Trip, Part 3: When Ya Just Gotta Get Out of the City

New York Trip, Part 3: When Ya Just Gotta Get Out of the City

Don’t get me wrong, I love New York, but sometimes you just gotta get out and smell the roses outside of the city. The friend I stayed with during my trip to New York actually lives about an hour outside of the city, which means she has a car. This was awesome because we were able to explore the area surrounding the city for a couple of days. For some reason I never realized how beautiful New England was until I explored it on this trip. So here are some of my favorite things that I did.

Music City U.S.A. and a Tourist

Music City U.S.A. and a Tourist

One of the greatest gifts my move to Memphis gave me, was the ability to travel to some many places without having to get on a plane. Being from California, you can drive for nine hours and still be in the same state. Now I can drive twenty minutes in one direction or twenty minutes in another direction and be in two different states. And I am so close to so many cities. Three hours from Nashville. Three and a half hours from Birmingham. Four hours from St. Louis. five hours from Atlanta. Six hours from New Orleans and the list goes on. By far one of my favorite places to visit is Nashville. The vibe of the city is beyond amazing and there is so much to do. today I decided to talk about some of my favorite things to do in the city.
