I have been gone for ages. Life and such became more pressing, and something had to give. I was at peace with that and felt this part of my life may have just naturally come to an end. However, recently I have been craving a creative outlet again. Posts began forming in my mind, itching to be let out. I have no intention of coming back in any regular fashion but will likely post from time to time. It is nice to escape the craziness of the world and life for just a few moments.
Now onto the crucial subject of… shoes. All jokes aside, I love shoes. I have had body image issues as long as I can remember. Shoes have always brought me comfort. I don’t have to worry about my size or things fitting. They can boost my confidence. And, they are just fun. Here are some of my favorites at the moment!
Sandals

Tkees Lily Nudes | Loeffler Randall Theo Two-Band Sandal | Loeffler Randall Noor Leather Flat Sandal | Loeffler Randall Hadley Bow Sandals | Margaux MX Sandal
I love a strappy neutral sandal for the spring and summer. The Tkees are a comfortable option that brings my California heart joy. Loeffler Randall is one of my favorite shoe designers. Their sandals, in particular, have the ability to be dressed up or down, all while remaining comfortable. They also dropped the Theo sandal this spring, an elevated version of a Birkenstock. The MX sandal from Margaux is a beautiful, classic sandal that is unlikely to go out of style.
Heels

Mango Strappy Heeled Sandals | Sam Edelman Cressa Strappy Kitten Heel | Larroudé Annie Sandal | Matisse Ocean Ave Sandals | Larroudé Dolly Mule
At five feet flat, I love a heel. I have come to accept my height, but that doesn’t stop me from adding a couple of inches whenever possible. In the summer, I have two heel modes: strappy sandals and massive platforms. The brand Larroudé is new to me, but the Annie sandal and Dolly mule are the embodiment of these modes. While I do love a high heel, I have been loving the kitten heel sandals that have become increasingly popular.
Flats

Margaux Demi in Woven Leather | Dolce Vita Reyes Mary Jane
I tend to prefer sandals in the summer, but having a couple of pairs of comfortable flats for work is necessary. Both of these are versatile and comfortable.
Sneakers

New Balance 574 Core | Adidas Samba Sneakers | Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Lift Platform
It’s always good to have a pair of good sneakers on hand. These are my core set of sneakers. The New Balance 574s are supremely comfortable and require nearly no break-in time. The Adidas are stylish, but sporty and perfect for running errands. Converse are a long-time favorite of mine, and this platform option can easily be dressed up (I even wear them to work occasionally!).
Oldies but Goodies

Rainbow Single Layer Flip Flops | Jack Rogers Jacks Flat Sandals | Jack Rogers Lauren II Sandal | Castaner Carina Espadrilles | Birkenstock Boston Soft Footbed
I would be remiss not to include some of my long-time favorites. My rainbow sandals have had a home in my closet since high school. Quite literally the best flip flops out there. Jack Rogers are timeless and versatile. I love both the classic Jacks and the Lauren sandals. Lace-up espadrilles are another timeless option. I have had my Castaners for years – they are comfortable, durable, and beautiful. Finally, the only time my Pacific Northwest really shows is when I slip on my Birks. I love their clogs because they can be worn year-round.
