Recently I visited a place I can’t say I ever thought I would visit… Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My job requires that I travel on a very regular basis and to a lot of places I would not normally go, including Milwaukee. And while I was not excited for the very cold temperatures that are normally associated with Wisconsin, I ended up LOVING my time in the city. Plus I packed a lot of stuff into like 4 hours of inconsecutive free time…
If you couldn’t already tell, I am a little obsessed with the city of Seattle. I laid out some of my favorite things about the city in my last post, which you can fine here. I figured this week I could get a little more specific and give you my guide to a long weekend in Seattle. Lastly, I strongly recommend getting the Seattle City Pass if this is your first time going to the city and plan to follow this guide. It saves you a ton of money and gives you admission to some great activities!
Seattle. The Emerald City. Queen City. Rain City. The Jet City. And my favorite city. I will admit I was a Seattle hater before I visited for the first time. I didn’t understand why people were so in love with a city where it constantly rained and didn’t have a beach. I didn’t know about the rich culture and history. I didn’t know about the industry and the hub of innovation. I didn’t know about the endless food options and unique nightlife. Everything changed about two years ago when I visited for the first time.
I have been fortunate over the past year, in that I have gotten to travel A LOT. And when I say I have traveled a lot, I mean I have been on 40 different planes in the past year. Now, I know there are people that travel far more than me, but I went from maybe getting on a plane twice a year to getting on a plane more than twice a month. So big change for Catie.
I was lucky enough to find a job that has allowed me to travel and go to some places that I never thought I would. It has also allowed me to go to some places that I have always wanted to go, but have not been able to for one reason or another. Today, I am going to focus on one of each, Charlotte and Chicago.
